Sunday 1st August Club Ride

Postby DAVWOD » Mon Jul 26, 2010 3:12 pm

Thought I would get this on early to give gys a chance to arrange time for a ride

This ride will have everthing to bring a smile on one's kipper or - maybe not

The ride will have flat undulated and hills run over 50 miles with a Tea Stop - if the weather is good the ride could be extended by 10 miles.

Meet - Poacher Cottage Trentham 9 30 am

Thanks Guy's gal's for the ride, I really didn't think I would have made it after comming down with a bad cold from Fridays TTT..

Nice to see martin out this week (good of Claire to bring him along )
Big George obeyed team orders and sat on the back with Mick and that meant the rest of us shared the - on the front pacing.. I thought the ride was long enough (about 55m for us Stokies) and the pace was just about right av 19- 22mph out to Milford via Haughton.. Quick Stop at Great Haywood and Back via Hilton to Stone .. Great Ride now time to recover before the TT's next week

Top ride out, thanks.

With a brief stop in Stoke to get some pop, we were told by a slighty tipsy carrot cruncher, who had been on the scrumpy, how cool we looked!!

84 miles in the bag for us 'out of towners' when we got home, and then finished off with a liquid lunch (for some) if ya know what I mean!!

PS, I said I would do teas tmrw.
