lvrcOK 1st and foremost let me say a massive thanks to Tom, without him, I’m sure the results would have been different, Tom took all the pressure away so I could focus on racing, I didn’t want for anything, if I wanted a drink, tome got it, when I was “pacing up and down” he sat me down when I punctured he swapped the wheels.

Tom, you are and will always be in my top 6. Thanks mate.

As Alan said qualified fastest for the sprint so had an “easy ride” through to the final but in the semi final I had Paul Asky and another guy from Lane End or some place.
Anyway I drew top of the banking, lane end middle and Paul at the bottom, as we rolled way the guy from L-E head butted me in the ribs (not hard but...) any way I thought I know your game!, I rolled back, came underneath him and rode him straight in to the boards.
That left me looking at Paul who I knew would go for a long one and true to form off he went, I used the height to get on his wheel and the rest is history.
I had Tony in the final and tactically he is switched on and coming up to the bell lap he dropped in under me and stopped on the blue line, I, like a fool was so keen to get on his wheel kicked thinking he would drop to the black line he stopped on the blue and I touched his rear with my front wheel!!!!!.
I had to back out of it and as I did he (rightly) hit the gas! He kept me high all the way round and on the line there was a wheel rim width between us.
Still, the best man won on the day, I was still happy with Silver.

As for the 750 meter TT we had a big name or two to beat and when I saw Paul asky do a mid 55 I thought he would have it anyway it’s only three laps and only one lap of PAIN!!!
Tom, as ever got me on the track and they asked if I was OK, I said YES. I took a few deep breaths and I was off..

Pushing hard through bend one and on to the straight then I sat down and started pushing, lap one was over and lap two was hard, black spots in the eyes and as i came through back in to my staright i thought that was it but then the bell rang!!!! Bloody hell!!! I hadn’t counted the laps!!!
In my head i just thought KEEP IT GOING!!!
With 125 Mtrs to go the lactate was screaming through my body, my legs kept saying ease-off ease-off but in my head i kept saying “don’t you dare ease-off now” (may have had a bit more “colour” than that but you get my drift) as i crossed the line i couldn’t see a thing but looked up at the board to see 54:--!!! I knew then that was enough to clinch it!
Standing to the top step of the podium collecting the medal is a very nice feeling, a proud moment and GOLD is a beautiful colour.

Thanks to everyone for the texts and the support
